THE BOUNDARY
Lakes & Dales Brewery takes inspiration from two neighbouring landscapes: the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Different in character, but closely connected in spirit. We’re based in Tebay, sitting between the two, which feels a fitting place to brew.
Our Beers
We focus on balanced, well-made beers without overcomplicating things. Honest beer, made for the end of a day outside, wherever that day has taken you. All of our beers are available in cask or keg, as well as 500ml bottles.
Bitter
A traditional bitter with a modern edge, brewed with British malt and hops. Firm bitterness is balanced by layered malt character, bringing notes of dark fruit, treacle and burnt toffee, with a dry, moreish finish. A straightforward, well-made pint built for proper drinking.
A bright, hop-forward pale ale brewed with Lake District water and British malt. Expect tropical and stone fruit aromas over a crisp, light body, finishing clean and refreshing. A modern take on a classic style.
Pale Ale
Golden Ale
Bright golden ale brewed with British malt and modern hop varieties. Soft bitterness leads into notes of apricot, honey and gentle spice, with a smooth, lightly sweet finish. A versatile, easy-drinking ale for long evenings, wherever you find them.
Stout
A rich, full-bodied stout built from a blend of five malts. Roasted barley, chocolate malt and crystal grains deliver coffee, cocoa and treacle notes, balanced by a smooth bitterness and a dry finish. Best enjoyed as the light fades.
Lager
A Southern German-style lager brewed with Lake District water. Light and crisp, with a clean malty base and a soft floral, herbal character from traditional German hops. Balanced, refreshing and finely structured with a dry finish.
Specials
Alongside our core range, we regularly brew one-off beers, collaborations and special releases. These are small-batch, seasonal and often experimental - built around ideas, ingredients, and the people we’re working with at the time. Expect limited runs, changing styles, and beers that won’t always be repeated.

Are your beers unfiltered or vegan-friendly?
Our cask beers are not vegan friendly, bottles and keg are both filtered and vegan.
Where are your beers brewed?
Brewed in Tebay wedged between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, using Lake District water.
Are your beers gluten free?
We brew all of our beers to be gluten free, so more people can enjoy great beer without compromise.
